Gathering Troubleshooting Information for Instant Messenger from the About Window

If problems arise while using Instant Messenger, your administrator may ask you to gather details about the version you are using and the system on which you are running Instant Messenger. You gather this information using the About window. Access this window by selecting About from the Help menu and then selecting the Details tab. The following information is displayed:

• Your user ID

• Session name

• Priority

• JVM version

• Operating system name and version

• Instant Messenger version

• Server host and port to which you are connected

• Whether or not you are using SSL to connect to the server
