Deleting Instant Messenger Instances from the Cache
Use the procedures in this section to delete the Instant Messenger software instances cached on your system.

- Launch Java Web Start Application (JWS) Manager.
For example, double-click the JWS icon on your desktop.
- From the Applications menu, select Remove Application.
Any shortcuts for Instant Messaging are removed as well.
- Close Java Web Start Application Manager.
To Delete Sun Java System Instant Messenger Instances from Windows Cache (Java Plug-in)
- Delete the java_plugin_AppletStore folder.
For example, in Windows Explorer, select the folder and then from the File menu and click Delete.
By default, the folder in Windows appears as:
C:\WINDOWS\java_plugin_AppletStore\
To Delete Sun Java System Instant Messenger Instances from Solaris Cache
- Launch Java Web Start Application Manager.
For example, double-click the javaws icon in the javaws directory.
- From the Applications menu, select Remove Application.
- Close Java Web Start Application Manager.
